अयं निजः परो वेति गणना लघुचेतसाम् | उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् ||

अर्थ - यह अपना बन्धु है और यह अपना बन्धु नहीं है, इस तरह की गणना छोटे चित्त वाले लोग करते हैं। उदार हृदय वाले लोगों की तो (सम्पूर्ण) धरती ही परिवार है।

Meaning - it is your own bundhu (Relative) and it is not your bundhu , people like this are calculated by small minded people. The entire family is the only family of those with generous hearts.
