IS RESERVATION CORRECT?

MY VIEWS ON
RESERVATION IN INDIA
What is Reservation?
not defining it but actually stating its physical significance
Reservation simply means guarantying someone for something.
Can Someone be anyone? Of course NO
Then who is this Someone?
This may be the needy section of society in that field.
For eg. Shudra's in INDIA were treated as untouchables in ancient times. But in modern India Constitution states :- RIGHT TO EQUALITY.
As crowd's mentality has changed upto an extent but today too, cases of shudra's exploitation are seen in various news reports. So to give everyone full chance to live his life peacefully, Constitution makers decided to reserve some percent (Approx. 49+ %  today), [i think some may be replaced by most in previous line] in most of the govt employments and institution for them.

RESERVATION STATISTICS IN MODERN INDIA:-
1. In central-government funded higher education institutions, 22.5% of available seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students (7.5% for STs, 15% for SCs).
2. OBC reservation 27%
3.SOME RESERVED SEATS ALSO FOR:-
  • Terrorist victims from Kashmir, e.g. in Punjab
  • Single girl child (in Punjab)
  • Migrants from the state of Jammu and Kashmir
  • Sons/daughters/grandsons/granddaughters of Freedom Fighters
  • Physically handicapped
  • Sports personalities
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) have a small percentage of reserved seats in educational institutions. (Note : NRI reservations were removed from IIT in 2003)
  • Candidates sponsored by various organisations
  • Those who have served in the armed forces ('ex-serviceman' quota—because the age of superannuation in the military is much shorter than that in the civil posts; more so, certain intakes are tenure-based, e.g. the contract for Short-Service Commission is eight years)
  • Dependents of armed forces personnel killed-in-action
  • Repatriates
  • Reservation in special schools of Government Undertakings/ PSUs, for the children of their own employees (e.g. Army schools, PSU schools, etc.)
  • Paid pathway reservations in places of worship (e.g., Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, Tiruthani Murugan temple)
  • Seat reservation for Senior citizens and physically handicapped in public (bus) transport.
It is clear from above stats that how reservation has grazed employments and government facilities for Unreserved Ones;
In many states Reservation reaches more than 50%.
Till now, we can say reservation has 2 faces:-
POSITIVE:
Helps in STRENGTHENING that section of society which faced exploitation from years.
NEGATIVE:-
Reservation in this percentage my lead to snatching of many opportunities of deserving candidate and may lead exploitation Unreserved candidate (may be exploited previously due to some economic or social conditions but this is not undertaken by Constitution). Is It RIGHT TO EQUALITY??
